Content Creation for The VinFuture Prize

At VinFuture, I led the development of content that bridged scientific complexity with human connection. Through storytelling, structure, and digital fluency, I created a wide range of narrative-driven assets that amplified the prize’s mission and voice on a global stage.

STORYTELLING FOR SCIENCE & INNOVATION

At VinFuture, I led the creation of digital content that told powerful stories of science and innovation through trusted global platforms. My work spanned social media, paid media, and brand-owned channels, with a focus on how science and technology address pressing global challenges and improve everyday life—across health, environment, education, and connectivity. These pieces often featured world-renowned scientists—including Nobel, Millennium Technology, and Turing Laureates—especially those serving on the VinFuture Prize Council or honored by the Prize.

To expand the Prize’s global voice, I contributed to the creation and coordination of high-quality, science-driven, and localised content features, and worked closely with strategic international media partners to distribute them across leading outlets in America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. These narratives helped position VinFuture as a credible, globally engaged platform for science with impact.

In parallel with science-driven content, I focused on producing personal, story-driven multimedia content and audience-focused narratives that transformed complex, technical breakthroughs into relatable, human-centered stories.

Through interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and public-facing digital campaigns, I spotlighted the human journeys behind the science: childhood inspirations, personal struggles, cultural pride, and the deeply emotional moments tied to discovery and recognition. This narrative approach allowed broader audiences to connect not just with the work—but with the people behind it—reinforcing VinFuture’s mission of science in service of humanity.

Beyond content creation, I led creative direction across a dynamic calendar of virtual and in-person events. Each format was strategically designed for its audience:

  • For the Public: I co-developed “Talk Future,” the first post-ceremony talk show with VinFuture Laureates, and helped launch open Sci-Tech Dialogues that simplified key concepts, highlighted groundbreaking inventions, and shared inspiring personal journeys to engage non-expert audiences.

  • For Researchers & Science Communities: I initiated and led content strategy for “InnovaTalk,” an original webinar series exploring current and future trends in science and technology. I also co-created ePanels with partners like Keystone Symposia, bringing together global researchers in interactive, insight-rich formats.

  • For Policymakers & Strategic Leaders: Working alongside high-level government bodies and ministries, I helped execute the “Science for Life” Symposium Series—a platform designed to bridge scientific excellence with national policy agendas, uniting global innovators with regulatory and political leaders to shape science-informed policy thinking.

FOR THE PUBLIC

The Public Dialogue series, gathering change-makers from all over the world to discuss the impacts of science and technology on humanity, especially in addressing the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals. With this, the foundation aims to bring science and technology closer to the general public, thereby demonstrating science’s role in people’s life and consolidating trust in science for the future. Through the sharing from our guest speakers, you will find out how science can be applied into the daily usage of millions of people. World-leading scientists and prominent start-up entrepreneurs, who have successfully implemented scientific innovations in people's lives, will take part in the event

“Talk Future” is a signature event hosted immediately after the annual VinFuture Prize Award Ceremony, designed to connect the laureates—the world’s top scientists—with a live audience in an intimate and interactive setting. This dialogue has become a hallmark of VinFuture Sci-Tech Week, offering a rare opportunity to hear directly from Laureates about their journeys, discoveries, and aspirations. Directed by me, “Talk Future” blends storytelling, emotion, and real-time interaction—stimulating reflection, inspiration, and dialogue across generations of science enthusiasts . It’s a defining moment where global scientific excellence meets public curiosity and youthful ambition.

FOR SCIENCE COMMUNITY

KV-Webinar-series_edited.jpg

The VinFuture InnovaTalk Webinar Series is a curated program of online seminars launched by the VinFuture Foundation to explore how emerging scientific breakthroughs can address urgent global challenges. I played a central role in planning and delivering a six-part series, ensured that each event blended technical depth with accessible communication. The series helped position VinFuture as a knowledge convener, building bridges between Vietnam’s science community and the global innovation ecosystem.

The ePanel featured pioneering work by Dr. Pieter Cullis, winner of the VinFuture Grand Prize, which honors exceptional minds whose breakthrough scientific research, and technological innovations have enormous potential to create meaningful change at scale.

Over its multi-year run during VinFuture Sci-Tech Week, the series featured breakthrough discussions on topics such as Advanced Materials, Precision Cancer Therapy, and Resilient Agriculture. Each symposium convened VinFuture Prize Council members, global scientists, and thought leaders at the intersection of research and public policy.

The content was crafted specifically for policymakers, strategic leaders, and institutional stakeholders, helping bridge the gap between cutting-edge innovation and real-world decision-making. By emphasizing both scientific depth and societal relevance, I helped reinforce VinFuture’s brand as a catalyst for science-informed policy and global dialogue.

BRAND CONTENT NARRATIVES

At VinFuture, I led the development of branded content that positioned the Prize not only as a prestigious global award, but as a human-centered movement for science and innovation. These narratives were carefully built through integrated storytelling, high-level event strategy, and government relations.

First and foremost, I directed the content strategy for a global VinFuture Call for Nominations Webinar Series, executed over six months across time zones, disciplines, and continents. These sessions activated science communities at a grassroots level, driving nominations from over 70 countries and setting the tone for VinFuture’s inclusive, global brand presence. In parallel, I managed storytelling across channels for the annual Call for Nominations campaign, using landing pages, social media assets, and short-form videos to build brand anticipation. Each piece reinforced VinFuture’s core message: Science at the service of humanity.

At the same time, my team and I spearheaded government engagement and policy advocacy with Vietnam’s Ministry of Science & Technology and Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, securing official support for VinFuture’s inaugural award ceremony in 2021. This became Vietnam’s first post-lockdown government-backed international event, welcoming over 300 VVIPs, including the Prime Minister, cabinet ministers, and globally renowned scientists. The scale and impact of the event were amplified through a comprehensive content rollout—including press releases, social media storytelling, and campaign content emphasizing the US$4.5 million prize value, celebrity guests, and its global scientific reach.

One of the strongest narrative moments was the production of “Conversation with the VinFuture Prize Council”—a high-level branded event that convened some of the world’s most accomplished scientists. The "Conversation with Members of VinFuture Prize Council and Pre-Screening Committee" event focused on discussions around scientific breakthroughs and emphasized the importance of bringing global minds together to foster scientific innovation. The event featured entrepreneurs, policymakers, and world leading scientists, who are part of the VinFuture Prize Council and Pre-Screening Committee, including:

  • Professor Sir Richard Henry Friend, FRS (University of Cambridge) - Chair of the Prize Council, Millennium Technology Laureate 2010.

  • Professor Sir Kostya S. Novoselov, FRS  (University of Manchester) - Nobel Laureate 2010

  • Professor Leslie Gabriel Valiant, FRS (Harvard University) – A.M Turing Laureate 2010

  • Professor Pascale Cossart, FRS (Pasteur Institute of Paris) - Pioneering cellular microbiologist, Honorary Doctor of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in 2020

  • Among others.

With Nobel, Millennium Technology, and Turing Laureates in attendance, representing elite institutions, the event gave voice to VinFuture’s mission through the people best positioned to validate it. Their collective endorsement and dialogue around making science more equitable and impactful for “people’s everyday lives” formed the most powerful brand content asset possible—authentic, credible, and globally resonant.

Through these layered, mission-aligned campaigns, I helped shape a brand narrative that balanced scientific prestige with accessibility and inclusivity—elevating VinFuture from an award to a trusted symbol of science-driven global progress.

COPYWRITING & VISUAL STRATEGY – LEVERAGED BY DIGITAL TOOLS

At VinFuture, I combined strategic copywriting with digital-first visual content development to deliver cohesive, impactful campaigns across web, social, and event channels. My work was grounded in clear messaging—but elevated through precise, platform-optimized execution.

I crafted content ranging from press releases and media kits to event scripts, social posts, and editorial narratives, ensuring tone consistency across diverse touchpoints and audience groups. Whether addressing scientists, policymakers, or the public, my writing emphasized clarity, purpose, and emotional resonance.

To complement written strategy, I directed the creation of visual assets across all campaign stages—working in tools like Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Photoshop to produce high-quality graphics, animations, and video snippets for platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram. I also collaborated with design teams to align visual language with brand identity and user experience.

My workflow was enhanced by tools like Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Google Analytics, which I used to track performance, analyze content reach, and inform real-time optimizations. These insights allowed me to iterate rapidly—adapting copy tone, call-to-actions, and creative elements to better meet audience behavior and engagement trends.

By fusing storytelling with data and design, I ensured that every piece of content—from a tweet to a keynote—was not only well-crafted but strategically positioned, visually consistent, and digitally measurable. This approach helped strengthen the VinFuture brand’s credibility, relevance, and resonance across global audiences.

Content Creation for
“The Long Dress” Documentary
- Spira Films

For The Long Dress, a feature-length documentary exploring the timeless beauty and cultural symbolism of the Vietnamese Áo Dài, I led the creation of high-impact communication assets designed to resonate with both global audiences and potential sponsors.

I developed the film’s core narrative messaging, translating its emotional depth and cultural significance into compelling visual and written content—including the official sponsorship pitch deck, creative treatments, and branded presentation materials. These assets played a critical role in securing £50,000 in initial funding and positioning the film for successful collaborations with major cultural events.

By combining aesthetic storytelling, strategic messaging, and performance-oriented framing, I ensured the content not only captured the film’s vision—but also moved people to support it.
